Just Can't BEET It - Juice Recipe

I know I know! Constipation isn’t exactly the most fun or delightful thing to talk about, but it also isn’t fun to have so that’s why it is today’s topic.

If everything is flowing thru your system properly you should experience a bowel movement 1-3 times per day. Nope that was not a typo I said PER DAY. If you are not then you are suffering with a level of constipation.

There can be several reasons that you are dealing with constipation like:

  • Consuming too much dairy
  • After effects of surgery/anesthesia
  • Overuse of laxatives
  • Certain pharmaceutical meds (narcotics, antidepressants, iron pills, etc.)
  • Stress
  • Changes in normal diet
  • Decrease in or lack of physical activity
  • Eating disorders
  • Irritable Bowel Syndrome
  • Lack of Fiber
  • Hypothyroidism

Beets, pears and apples are my go to foods to get things moving and my favorite #EatYourMedicine trick to combat constipation quickly and naturally is juicing. Here is one of my favorite Juices by EBNL recipes to the rescue!

Just Can’t BEET It

3 small/medium beets

2 firm Bartlett pears

2 pink lady apples

1/2 medium sized seeded watermelon
